Vision

We believe that racial and ethnic diversity is integral and essential to the health and well-being of our Palouse area community. CORE (Council on Racial Equity) is a group of citizens from many walks of life who meet, discuss, and actively work to improve, uphold, and maintain equity in the community’s institutional, governmental, educational, and social spheres.

Goals

In order to support our vision, we see ethnic studies as an integral part of the curriculum for all public school students.

We provide educational opportunities by welcoming guest speakers to share their experiences with us.

We celebrate ethnic diversity of our populace by holding community-wide events where we can become more informed and better understand one another.

We honor diversity with displays of public art and the sharing of music and other expressions of culture.
